Event Photography Shoot – Recess Living, Burn To Bloom Supper Club 2023, London

April 19, 2023

I’m back with another amazing shoot in collaboration with Recess Living.

This is the second annual Burn To Bloom Supper Club hosted by Nina from Recess Living alongside Alice from Alice Kate Studio who created a full plant based four course menu, special guest therapist and author Aisha Gordon Hiles and drinks provided by Black Crowned Gin and be-oom.

The event is hosted at 83 Dalston Lane in Hackney and aims to provide a safe and comfortable environment for attendees to discuss things like mental well-being, share their stories and chat and celebrate their goals.

With the guidance of Nina and some amazing guest hosts, you really feel nurtured and appreciated while you’re in the space. Burn to Bloom Supper Club provides a safe atmosphere of healing, exploration and relaxation, it truly is a time to bloom.

Nina describes the Supper Club as “a place to break bread, find community and celebrate your journey” and I think that’s a beautiful way of describing the night but it doesn’t give it enough credit, from the decor, to the handpick suppliers and the amazing menu and experiences. The Supper Club is an incredible environment to be a part of and a great way to network, share your story and discuss deep and meaningful topics as well as day to day life. Which is something that a lot of us don’t get to do on a daily basis especially in the current burnout culture.

On a personal note, it was overwhelming to see how much has changed in the year from shooting the first Burn To Bloom Supper Club in 2022 to shooting this year’s Supper Club, I’ve seen so much growth and change in my life so being invited to come back and document the second event was a really incredible feeling and it was so nice to see some familiar faces and catch up on what’s been going on in their lives since last year.

I’ve been shooting events for the past 7 years and I know how easy it is to forget to document BTS footage or capture content for social media! So having a professional photographer to document your event is always a great idea!

Having a professional photographer there to capture your event means that you have a lot less stress on the day meaning that you can really just focus on the event and all the things that you need to do as a host whilst we focus on capturing the event for you.

If you’re hosting an event and you’re looking for a photographer/videographer to cover it, then drop me a message, I would love to chat!
